I was born on the 13th of July 1976 in Johannesburg, South Africa, my mother's heritage is Dutch/Scottish and my father is Italian. The Argenton name has descended from France and is translated into "silver town"
I established Argenton Design in Sydney Australia in 2001, after seven years of working in the jewellery industry, as I could not contain my desire to have full creative license over my work.
My professional history begins in 1995 when I started working for Rob Bennett Jewellery, Where I was trained for four and a half years in retail and jewellery manufacture.
* 1996-1998 Diploma in Gemmolgy - Julia Myers award for best practical paper in Australia, and the NSW Trustees prize for best practical paper in NSW with a distinction acquired at the Gemmological Association of Australia.
* 1998-1999 Diploma in diamond technology with a credit pass acquired at the Gemmological Association of Australia.
* 2000 Certificate in jewellery design acquired at the Gemological Association of Australia.
* 2001-2002 Certificate in applied colour and design acquired at the School of Colour and Design, Sydney Australia.
My next job was taking up position as workshop coordinator, at Canturi, where I stayed for one and a half years. I learned valuable organization and people management skills, but unfortunately got tragically bored and frustrated, which spurred me on, to create Argenton design, giving me the creative freedom I longed for.
