South Sea Pearls
South sea pearls are the most prized of all pearls, for their size, rarity and unusual colours. They are created by large oysters, the pinctala maxima, found only in the areas of north-western Australia, Indonesia and Tahiti. Available in a multitude of colours which include crisp white, light gold to deep gold hues, deep black to light grays tinged with pink, purple, blue, green and brown, and very rarely a medium hue of soft pink.
Freshwater Pearls
Freshwater pearls are from rivers and lakes in Europe, Russia, China, Japan and America. They are available in an endless array of colour and shape.
