said to increase confidence and assertiveness, assisting in patience and clarity of thought

The word Peridot is derived from the Greek word "faridat " which means "gem", and it is one of the few gemstones that come in only one color.

Peridot is one of the oldest known gemstones, with ancient records documenting the mining of peridot from as early as 1500 B.C. It has a fascinating history in both nature and culture, It is the National gem of Egypt and their love of this gemstone dates back to the Ancient Egyptians who called the Peridot “the gem of the sun.”
Most gems are formed in the Earth's crust, but  Peridot ( as well as Diamond ) is formed in the magma in the upper mantle, about 20 to 55 miles deep, and is brought to the surface by tectonic or volcanic activity.
Peridot is found in Egypt, Sri Lanka and Brazil, and specimens have been found in meteorites and the lava of Vesuvius. During the Middle Ages peridots were worn for foresight with regard to future events, and for Divine inspiration and eloquence. At one time Peridots were considered of more value than diamonds.
Peridot was also believed to be able to dissolve enchantments.
To bring it to its full potential, the stone was set in gold. If it was intended to provide protection from evil spirits, it had to be pierced, strung on the hair of a donkey, and worn on the left arm. As a medical remedy, it was powdered to cure asthma. Additionally, holding a peridot under the tongue was supposed to lessen the thirst of a person suffering from fever.

Healthy White Chocolate Recipe

So here is my promised White Choc recipe, I make this treat when I want to indulge but not feel guilty about it!
It is so simple and only takes minutes to make although some of the ingredients may be tricky to find so I will include the brands and some links, but you can improvise with some alternatives.
My favourite part of this treat is how the raspberries stay crunchy and crisp, so so yummy!
Ingredients
1/2 cup of Cacao butter ( loving earth )
2 tbs of maple sugar (can use syrup too, but it can stay a bit sticky in places) Rapadura sugar would work too
2 pieces of lemon peel
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1/4 tsp powdered ginger
small handful freeze dried raspberries or any dried fruit up like
small handful activated almonds chopped
sprinkle of smoked salt or flaked sea salt
Method
place all the ingredients in a small pot and heat over very gentle heat, ( use a double boiler if your stove doesn't have a very low setting ) the sugar will not dissolve totally, but stays nice and crunchy when it is set.
get a shallow square dish place baking paper in the bottom that overlaps the edges so the liquid cant run out,  place the raspberries and almonds in a 3rd of the dish leaving the last third empty.
Remove the lemon peel from the liquid, and pour it gently over the almonds and raspberries, leave on counter for a few minute, sprinkle the salt over the last section, put in the fridge to set, once set break into rough pieces, and keep store in the container in the fridge.
enjoy xo

New to the Eclipse Collection

It is April already and the last few months have been frantic with lots of bespoke bridal jewllery being made, as well as a lot of weddings being attended!  I have however found some time to add some new designs to the Eclipse collection, these designs are part of a range that are super simple and great for everyday wear, all the pieces are made in my boutique studio, and The Eclipse collection is inspired by the planets and the vast solar system and the scattered stars we see appearing so small above us.
